my first blog.

so…i’m pretty new to this whole blog thing.  i created this blog for several reasons.

first and foremost, i enjoy writing.  it is therapeutic, it is relaxing.  informative, persuasive, creative…i like to write.  even if no one will ever read it.

secondly, i want to give the few people out there who might actually be interested in my menial life some small window into the simple existence that is “the life of bryan” (no the y is not a typo).

and finally, as some of you know, i will be traveling to africa this summer.  i created this blog to serve as an channel (possibly THE ONLY channel) of communication while i am there. 

to those of you reading this, i am flattered.  if you like what you read, let me know…if you don’t, go read something else.  ok, ok…i’m kidding.  seriously, though…please feel free to comment, post ideas, or ask questions (i’m assuming you can do all of this on here…like i said, i’m new to the whole ‘blog’ thing).
